MZ Wallace Mini Soho Tote in Apple Red: Unboxing and Review

For ten years, my go-to nylon bag was the Prada large crossbody in black. But after a decade of dedicated service, she was beginning to show her age. I decided I wanted something brighter this time around, and I didn’t want to spend a thousand dollars to get it. Thus began my quest for the perfect red nylon crossbody at a reasonable price. That’s when I came across the MZ Wallace Mini Soho Tote in “Apple” red. As soon as I saw this beauty on the website, I knew she would be mine. I took her for a spin about a week after she arrived, and I quickly realized that there were a couple things I needed to get used to.

First, the buckle on the crossbody strap slips a little if you’re not careful with it. This can be frustrating when you’ve carefully adjusted the length so the bag falls perfectly against your hip. The strap slips, getting longer, and you have to adjust it all over again. Second, the interior pockets can be a little tricky to get things in and out. This isn’t a big deal because the two exterior zip pockets are great. I just use those for my keys, so I don’t have to fight with my bag every time I want to get into my house.

I love everything else about this bag. The color is spectacular, and the little top handles are adorable; it is really fun to pick the bag up by the little handles and go about your day. It’s also surprisingly roomy for a small crossbody bag.
